·       Then the user needs to gently rub the small plastic or glass window, which is print head on the bottom of the cartridge with the figure tip and remove away old, dried ink that might have been collected on the print head

·       Set the cartridges back into the printer and firmly snap shut the cartridge carrier and allow the printer to take the cartridge head back to the proper starting position on the track

·       Then close the printer service bay

·       Turn off the printer by unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds

·       Plug it back in and turn on the printer

·       Follow the HP on-screeen software instructions on aligning the cartridge heads. He or she founds an alignment that prompts up each time the HP printer detects the cartridge has been replaced or moved

·       Use a brand new cartridge

·       Replace the printer if no cartridge, regardless of age
